Background: Let there be color

Yes, ths site finally has a background, and with it, some color! The site was beginning to look a little depressing if I do say so myself. I'm rather proud of the background as it is entirely my own work, and was a good learning experience, both in photography and in photoshop. The biggest lesson though is that my 3 year old camera is woefully inadequate for use in photography. Maybe I'll eventually get a nicer one. Anyway, that feild in the background is one right next to my apartment complex. Ialways love looking at that field, as it seems to go on forever. It's as though you could just walk through the green until you reached the end of the world. It speaks to me of endless possibilities, and I ussually take the long way home just to walk next to it, and look into the horizon. It is difficult to describe the sensation, but is a refreshing one, that makes living here a bit more tolerable. I hope you all enjoy it.

Happy Fourth of July everyone! Not much of an update today, I just dropped in to say hello. I also, (for those of you who care) figured out how to make an ipod icon for this site. So now, if you open this site in safari and select add to homescreen, you get the spiffy Ætherlight Studios logo right on your springboard!

So, as you can tell, a lot has changed on the site from yesterday. Most notably, I got the formatting problems worked out, including the rounded corners. It took me hours to figure out, but now that I know how to do it, it seems to suddenly be remarkably easy.
                          
I am so tired. I never went to sleep last night. I was to busy watching the show "Know Your Meme" on youtube and other such nonsensical research. My muscles all ache, and I feel like I'm going to pass out at any moment, so if my typing suddenly goes all crazy, it's just my face hitting the keyboard.
                          
Anyway, I also got the blog up, and found a spiffy new theme for it. It is NICE, and it has given me some ideas about the future artistic design of this sight. Also, all past updates have been posted up to the blog, and all future updates will be as well, as well as some of my own ramblings. I guess I'll have to find/make something new to fill the void of the main page. Ok, I go sleepy now...

Normally, I don't like to get political in my rants, and I tend to stay away from politics in general. But yesterday, The government shut down 9 movie sharing sites, including Ninjavideo.net. Now, I understand why, they were breaking the law. What really makes me angry is, first: they were shut down by a branch of homeland security, through an investigation that included over 100 agents. Don't they have something more important to do with all that time and money? Is everything so great all of a sudden that our biggest concern is video piracy? The second thing that really makes me angry is that the government is taking the power to block websites from out of the country for any reason they really want. That is out of line. The second that the government starts censoring the internet, is the second that I no longer support them. And I hope their actions have had the same polarizing effect on most of the internet users out there. Their actions make me sympathize with the pirates, where before I really didn't care. I will not stand for the government interfering in one of the last havens for truly free speech, and I will work as hard as I can to protect it. I just can't believe that they would do this. Phara is right, if she steps down, there will be a hundred people willing to take her place, and the more the government does stuff like this, the more I want to be one of the one hundred.

Well, no more excuses. The last of my social life just disintegrated, and I need to keep my mind occupied for a few days, so expect a lot of progress in the next few days. It's better this way.
